The park is located in the southwestern corner of Uganda. It borders the Democratic Republic of Congo and Rwanda. The park includes three volcanic mountains suitable for hiking/trekking activities. The vegetation is bamboo forest with afro alpine forest on the upper slopes of the volcanoes.

Day1
Depart from Kampala to western Uganda via Masaka. Stop over at the Equator for photographs. Proceed to Kisoro and view the terrace land, crater lakes and the beautiful scenery of the landscape enroute. Dinner and overnight at Volcanoe Rest Camp.

Day2
After an early breakfast and briefing at the park HQ, the Gorilla tracking activity begins under the gaze of the imposing volcanoes. Carry with you a packed lunch, water bottle and wear stout boots/shoes for this activity. Dinner and over night at the camp.

Day3
After breakfast visit the viewing platform at the main gate where spectacular views of the volcanoes Muhavura, Gahinga and Sabinyo in their full splendor are apparent. Lunch en-route to Kampala.
